Unemployment Fun

Luckily, it has been a long time since I have been unemployed. But time finally caught up to me, and I was laid off from my company well over two weeks ago. That comes with the giant headache which is applying for jobs, waiting to hear back, filing for my UI benefits. And an overabundance of free time.

An issue I have been facing, I've applied to a lot of places, and most of the time I don't even get a confirmation email. And it's getting hard keeping track of where I have applied, and then having to report that information to claim my UI benefits. Which reminded, of one of my favorites, which is AI. I'm used to vibe coding tools for myself when they either don't exist, or cost money. I spun up my own Job Search tracker, which people on LinkedIn thought it was a good enough idea, they want a copy of it too. 19,000 impressions, if only my other web content got that kind of views.

Which it's right here. You can save it to your desktop and run it, or use my link. It utilizes local storage so that data doesn't touch my server. I do still have my own version, which is now passworded since it's data does live on my server, but this one is more universal.

I've got a 49" Samsung OLED ultrawide as my primary monitor, and Plex is an absolute dog when it comes to watching movies fullscreen without wasting 75% of the available screen space.

However, after doing some digging, I found that there's actually been a solution floating around since March 2024.
